Who would have thought that a hacker who goes by "Waifu" would be hoisted on the petard of his own misogyny? This is my most shocked face.

My dude, you could have just not threatened a woman who runs her own security research company.

@evacide Yeah, @nixonnixoff is certainly on my "fuck around and find out" list. Remarkable lack of opsec from that fool.

@evacide

More stories like this please.

I love it when stupid criminals get to find out.

@evacide ego is their Achilles heel

@evacide
Thank you for your post.
No one is above the law.
May the same be shown in the case of KingLouieTrump and his cronies.

Peace wss

@evacide The cherry on top of this story is that she didn't even bother to go after him herself but assigned one of her people to bury him.

> when she saw the violent threats against her, Nixon tasked one of her researchers to uncover his real identity

@evacide dude didn't even rate her personal attention.
@evacide omg that's so good. She like saw the threats and went:
@evacide Somehow it surprises me that Canada extradites its own citizens at all. Or is he not Canadian and it just didn't come up in the article (or I missed it)?
@kechpaja @evacide Canada has an extradition treaty with the USA. The only time we won’t is if the death penalty is involved.

@RandomCanuck @evacide Even for Canadian citizens?

(Finnish citizens have AIUI an explicit right to not be removed from Finland against their will.)

@kechpaja @evacide If the crime is committed in the USA, the US has the right to file an extradition request. As long as the prospective penalties do not include the death penalty (because Canada hasn't had the death penalty since 1976, except for members of the military. Even that was repealed in 1998.) Once the accused has been extradited to the US, tried and convicted, they can apply to serve their sentence here.

@evacide Indeed, he does seem constitutionally incapable of not threatening a woman who runs her own security research company.
@evacide Wow. More levels to the whole story than expected. Thx 4 sharing!
@evacide What's crazy is that Waifu's buddy still hasn't gotten the memo that screwing with @nixonnixoff is about the dumbest thing a cybercriminal can do. B/c she'll help the feds figure out who you are IRL before you can finish your Corn Flakes.
@briankrebs @nixonnixoff Given that they have chosen to Fuck Around, I sincerely hope they Find Out.
@briankrebs
Corn Flakes are too adult.
I think Froot Loops or Lucky Charms.
@evacide @nixonnixoff
@xris @briankrebs @evacide @nixonnixoff (nods in agreement) yeah, but **Frosted** Flakes. They’re grrrreat!
@evacide Love her college yearbook photo!
@hakona @evacide that looks like her high school pic which makes it even funnier. you messed around with the wrong honor’s club nerd, LOL

@evacide it seems like the best move for these guys would be to stay under the radar, but then if they were prone to picking the best move they wouldn't *need* to stay under the radar.

Like a near-blowout in sportsball - sure it's possible to have a huge late game comeback, but teams that are able to manage that usually don't end up in a position to need a big comeback.

@evacide pure, 100% FAFO. That woman is awesome, a literal hero.

@evacide I love you so much, Eva.

@evacide

God I adore watching idiots get destroyed by Karma.

@evacide
I'll never do cybercrime

@evacide
I’m loving this: β€œIt was not easy and took several months”. He had the momentary impulse to threaten her, and she devoted professional-grade resources and hundreds of days to find him and eventually did.
@evacide Mid to high INT. Very low WIS
@evacide Well, these dudes may be good with computers but the social intelligence and the ability to control the testosterone in order to think clearly are clearly a challenge. Not exactly surprising - as with any other street thug.

@evacide what an interesting observation:

"How the case unfolds from this point depends on whether Moucka has access to the internet from inside Maplehurst, said Nixon. If he can access his cryptocurrency to pay for lawyers, it could be a long legal fight to get him out of the country and into a courtroom in Washington."
