@WarnerCrocker Given that he wanted the army to fire upon unarmed protestors, and has said he wants to invade Democratic states to round up undocumented migrants, I suspect what he wants are generals loyal to him rather than to the constitution.

@WarnerCrocker the guy giving the order is immune, the guy executing the order is still liable to prosecution. A thoughtful general officer would bring a lawyer and a sidearm to a meeting he was concerned about. The lawyer to tell him whether he’s legally exposed and the sidearm in case after he said no it was illegal the guy asked somebody else to do it making him an accessory.

Republicans in Congress will do nothing to stop this. I really hope the military leadership has ways to fight back against politicization of the military.
