@minouette I can't find the etymology of "à la poupée" so I'm imagining the inventor used a cloth doll's head. 🤣
@deborahh I think it just comes from the idea that it’s inked with something much smaller than a typical brayer or roller, like little doll-sized rollers or paint brushes but cloth doll heads would work 😂
@minouette I think I've seen round leather daubers used. That (and the name) suggested the image. LOL.
