Not Dropping Cameras@donkko for no prep, I recently used a “an enemy is coming, so take 30 minutes to plan traps and home alone defenses” and then use that time, and what they come up with, to inspire the rest.
@hdyar Not a bad solution. Wouldn't have worked for this particular Spelljammer campaign, but definitely a good option.
What I did was tell them their repairs will take a lil bit of time before they can continue chasing the baddie. Then they did a bit of shopping.
And after that, as soon as they were in space, I told them a solar dragon emerges from the sun.
Put together, this ate up enough time and fuelled enough panic to ride for the rest of the session.
