Pirate everything. Who gives a fuck anymore? Steal some joy from the abyss.

Aye, not from independent devs who are just trying to get by.

@[email protected] Yes but pelase to corporations, not to independent developers or really good products (which are almost extinct nowadays)

mas.to

ALSO not from bands/artists you like. Buy their shit. You know what I mean.

Pirate from corporations. They can get fucked.

@guffo intellectual property is neither
@guffo https://fmhy.net has directories for everything you could ever want. Well, I've only investigated the reading bit in any depth, but I've heard the other stuff is great too. Edit: adding https
Welcome

The largest collection of free stuff on the internet!

@guffo Yes but pelase to corporations, not to independent developers or really good products (which are almost extinct nowadays)
@guffo AI scrappers: Finally someone understands us.

@guffo
Why not?

After all...They're stealing from you.
Every.
Chance.
They.
Get.

@clintruin But then the CEOs won't be able to afford another yacht and I can't live with that. @guffo
@clintruin @guffo unfortunately piracy isn't stealing, but it should be
@guffo Considering AI is stealing from us, why not?
@guffo I mean, seroiusly. #AI is stealing from human creators, and the power needed to run AI is stealing from future generations...
@guffo From smaller creators, I'd rather not. Big corporations, I don't care, they don't even want us to own our games and movies anymore
@guffo the most recent game I pirated was the PC version of Plants vs Zombies, "Can't find bass.dll" goes hard 💀
@guffo @Binder the dark side of it is the combo of empowering corporation's and CEOs that right-wing likes to do, to the point of writing laws to their liking; the increase in for-profit prisons; and laws allowing to use prisoners as cheap/free labour.

@guffo yup.

we've used a media library for years.

PLEX is a really good way to organize your stuff and basically turn it into your own personal netflix. it can handle movies, TV and music.

having your own library also means that when they cancel a show (like, for example, The Acolyte) and wipe it from existence permanently, i still have a copy of it!

pirate bay dot org is still up
just make sure you're using a VPN

@guffo Put a few candy bars in your pocket at Walmart, fuck it.

@guffo

Pirate everything you say?

https://annas-archive.org/

Yaar!

Anna’s Archive: LibGen (Library Genesis), Sci-Hub, Z-Library in one place - Anna’s Archive

The world’s largest open-source open-data library. Mirrors Sci-Hub, Library Genesis, Z-Library, and more.

@guffo It's the other way around, we have a moral obligation to archive it all.
@guffo I take great pleasure from manually cracking the copy protection in an expensive-as-shіt product. The most I’ve ever stolen from Microsoft is Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate, a single license of which would’ve cost me over $30,000.
@guffo You mean make endless copies of something and distribute it for free? Who would do such a thing!
@guffo I'll only follow the big CEO mindset : if it's available on internet, it means it's a free access for everyones :D
