@msbellows The consumer protection claim wouldn’t become moot, I am pretty sure. Less sure about the illegal lottery claim, which includes abatement as a remedy, which obviously would be moot after the election - but I don’t remember just now the other remedies sought on that count.

@Julie In civil litigation, the penalties are usually fines. Of course, the amounts stipulated by law are not ones Musk cares about. And he has no shame in breaking the law.
