@viticci wow, congratulations! I love your work and look forward to what happens next.
@viticci Oh, I have some thoughts now….
@viticci Wow! Congratz to the team
@viticci That is HUGE! and a game changer!

@viticci The biggest question is what type of acquisition this will end up being.

Beats I think is a thumbs up
Workflows is 2 big thumbs up
Dark Sky is more meh, but over all a thumbs up

@viticci I use Photomator every day on my photos, I am now praying 🙏🏻

@viticci Love Pixelmator.

But I’m not sure how I feel about this…

@viticci This is so disappointing, especially after splurging on a lifetime license for Photomator Pro 2 weeks ago.

@viticci Holy crap! This is probably very bad news for the apps themselves, but no point in being sad right away.

Feels pretty unusual, too; Apple doesn’t do this sort of acquisition all that often.

Also wonder what the motivation is on Pixelmator Team’s side—were they no doing well financially?

@viticci Hopefully this can be stopped by the FTC or DOJ. Make your own app, Apple.
@viticci Does it include Photomator as well?
@viticci Oh I saw the small mention of the Photomator app in the blog post, I guess that kind of answers it.

@viticci god dammit, i just recently bought photomator. long time pixelmator user.

i think the only way they don’t colossally fuck this up is if the pixelmator team joins the pro apps department. i have a high opinion of those folks, and their track record with logic and final cut is pretty great.

@viticci Aperture was the first and best RAW editor and killing it was one of the worst decisions by Apple. I hope this marks a new beginning.
@viticci let's hope it goes like Workflows
