@ekennedy80 Having Thunderbird for Android out definitely gets us closer! This is a very loose estimate, but I imagine we'll start actively planning, which will mean hiring an iOS engineer, next year, hopefully towards the beginning.
This typist is an iOS user, so I know the wait is hard, too!
K-9 has been worked on until they decided to call it Thunderbird. It's the same product and you'll feel right at home.

It says that F-Droid is coming soon in the announcement.
That is good news, happy to find it in the playstore in Germany, even though the beta version appears first depending on the search

Also with Play-store you can expedite the process but maybe they went with the regular staged release.

I would like to use the function "export to mobile" in the Thunderbird Desktop (Flathub), how can I upgrade from 128.3 to 138.4 which is the precondition to have that function?
