I am so sick of Apple's device color palette. Dull MacBooks, dull iPhones, dull iPads. Give me iMac-style colors, in ‘consumer' and 'pro' variants, across the entire lineup
@stroughtonsmith I would buy a blue or purple MBP without hesitation.
@stroughtonsmith it won’t happen because there’s no incentive. It’s cheaper, safer, less work to make shades of gray and  knows we’ll continue to buy their stuff regardless of the color.
@manuel_carlos_ @stroughtonsmith True, but by that logic why bother making anything but silver/aluminium? People would still buy Macs.
@stroughtonsmith
If only this were in the top ten list of things wrong with Apple.
@stroughtonsmith this has begun to really bother me of late with the pro iphones in particular. just because it’s “pro” doesn’t mean it needs to be boring!
@stroughtonsmith my hot take: that silver iMac shouldn't exist. pick a color or get out!
@stroughtonsmith I think the reason is more complexity and also use case. The #iMac is a computer you don't really hide. Whether its reception, kitchen counter, classroom, lab. A Mac mini, likely gonna be tucked away under a desk mount. Apple knows colors can affect a products resale value, so they are likely not to introduce these on a laptop, because its gonna be hard to get someone to buy a red MacBook Pro when they trade it in. Maybe a third party service is best for that or d-brand.
@stroughtonsmith And sod the pastel fronts, I want the bright orange everywhere!
@stroughtonsmith I’m a a
Dull palette kind of person so it works for me but they really should offer some choice, also where’s the large screen iMac I’ve always been team 27”
@stroughtonsmith bring back nanochromaic palette everywhere!
@stroughtonsmith They're more like a Marta Stewart bath soap line.
