Yesterday, we wandered around the Washington Park Arboretum, including the Seattle Japanese Garden. That's where these photos were taken. It was a big day and there was more to it, Pioneer Square and the Seattle Waterfront, sans the Viaduct. Today were drove up to Rockport and walked the Skagit-Sauk Reach Trail. #Seattle #PNW #fall #autumn #photography #leaves #trees
While at the Seattle Japanese Garden, we viewed a small art exhibit of Kiri-E, the Japanese folk art of cut-paper art. Basically it is drawing an image on paper, then cutting it out with a sharp knife. Endlessly fascinating to wander through viewing all the exquisitely detailed cut-paper art. #art #kiri-e #Japanese #cutpaperart #cutoutimages #paperart #paper #folkart
The recently completed Overlook Walk at the Seattle waterfront is a beautiful piece of architecture providing a connection between the waterfront and Pike Place Market and the rest of downtown. We visited it a couple days ago. Watching the transformation of the waterfront over the last few years has been amazing. #architecture #Seattle #waterfront #redevelopment #OverlookWalk
The obligatory photos of Pike Place Market. Off-season, sort of, but still somewhat crowded. Nothing like the summer, though. Always fun to walk around it. Sound View Café is a favorite breakfast place of ours. #Seattle #PikePlaceMarket
