In 2023 we took a #CrossBorderRail trip of over 1600 km, from #ZielonaGóra through #Poznań #Berlin #Köln #Brussels to #London. Optimistically planned for 14 hours of train journey (though with a hotel stay in Brussels - I'm not *that* optimistic!), in the end it took 36 hours, with an unplanned night stay in Köln. We did get to do some sightseeing in Brussels though! Highly recommended if you enjoy trains.

Leg 5 was ICE754 to #Düsseldorf, where we don't want to the tonight. Thus we're now changing at #Recklinghausen for IC2209 which will get us to #Köln tonight. Then a replacement hotel, instead of the one we've got booked in Brussels. And a Reisezentrum visit in the morning.
#CrossBorderRail trip to #London, leg... I've lost count. 7? Morning #ICE316 #Köln to #Brussels, instead of the yesterday's evening one. I've got an envelope to send the hotel expenses back to #DB. We don't have reservations on the replacement train, but it's rather empty, fortunately.
