Interface elements that would be hidden if there were no ad blocker are not saying they can detect your ad blocker, they are offering a widget for you to tell them you have an ad blocker.
Don't click those widgets, block them.
Yes, and if they ask me to disable it, I just go away.
@culturednyc I donʼt use one* and I get these messages all the time, which tells me that they are using an ad blocker, costing themselves money!
* I block certain trackers, so if they served non-tracking ads, then everyone wins.

One website printed a message saying, "You have been blocked." Apparently they think I am a robot. I wasn't able to get around it (but I didn't try very hard, I just gave up)
