THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT! Living in a HOA, apartment or other restrictive covenant has its challenges for #AmateurRadio #HamRadio operations. Yesterday, I made these CW #MorseCode QSOs with this @AlphaAntenna #MagLoop with a #FT891 at 30 watts. Restrictions? Not FOR ME.
@N4JAW
As mag loops go, that’s a nice looking one.
@kelvin0mql It's served me well for about 15 years.
@N4JAW Persistence pays off! (and having 30 Watts is nice too!) Here’s my indoor CHA F-Loop 3 at this end. Use with my IC-705, so 10W max output. Hoping your room lights don’t flash in cadence with the CW! 72
@n8dmt LOL! No, but my cheap computer speakers pickup my sending at times
@N4JAW I've been eyeing that loop. How do you like it? Anything you'd want someone thinking about it to know?
@VY1JN I've had mine for 15 years. It's my home antenna. I've worked the world on HF 80 - 10. SSB, CW, HF packet, RTTY, PSK31, Olivia, SSTV Feld, FT4 FT8. Several years ago had an FT8 QSO to Antarctica and Indonesia. Last couple of days Today and yesterday had CW QSOs into a South Pacific Island DXpedition, New Zealand and Australia. Occasionally use it for portable operations when I need a small footprint. Can't say anything bad about it.
@N4JAW That's awesome Jim, love that, and amazing review. Looks like I'll have to grab me one! Thanks~
