You've probably heard that Paypal will start selling your personal data in November. Opt-out by turning it off:

In the EU, I found it under Settings > Data & Privacy > Interest-based marketing.

Elsewhere it has been found under Settings > Data & Privacy > PayPal Shopping or Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping.

But the EU has no "Opt out".
The @EUCommission demands opt in.
So, this is probably illegal.
On the other hand @EC_Commissioner_Breton highlighted that the EU currently is a "questionable governance" …

@sl007 If you use #PayPal, you consent to extensive data transfers for marketing and other purposes: https://www.paypal.com/ie/legalhub/third-parties-list
incl. passport ID, date of birth, IMEI etc.

The decision now only relates to whether or not you are *shown* personalised advertising.
PayPal does not start selling your personal data now, this has been their business model for a long time.

Or am I wrong?
