Israel claims they were attempting to kill Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in these strikes. Hezbollah hasn't put out a statement yet but there's reports of up to 8 collapsed buildings in one strike alone. Which kinda leads me to believe Israel doesn't have a clue where Nasrallah is.

Which is to say if this was meant to some how lower the risk of all out war between Israel and Hezbollah this seems not to be effective.

American AWACS aircraft were seen approaching the Lebanese coast and then turning off their transponders right as the dozens of bombing runs began throughout Beirut on the 27th. Airplane spotters suggest these craft were deployed to aid with radar support for the fighter jets and possibly to conduct electronic surveillance of Hezbollah's reaction to the strikes.

Meanwhile earlier this summer and again yesterday French diplomats have indicated that they will increase aid to the Lebanese military if Israel invades. Making proxy war opponents out of the US and France 😬
This article from earlier this summer suggests France's interest is in the Lebanese army pushing both Israel and Hezbollah away from the border so not exactly support for Hezbollah but certainly a rebuke of Israel's reckless strikes.
So far Hezbollah is claiming no IOF ground assault has yet begun. Largely the proofs of activity on the Lebanese border I've seen so far appears to be Israeli artillery strikes along the border. Deeper in Lebanon, cities and towns have continued to be hit with IOF air strikes largely targeting civilian centers like apartment buildings.

There'd been debate all weekend if the current 🇮🇷 administration would go for a military response.
There are reports of massive volleys of missiles and drones impacting military targets all around Tel Aviv.
This video is from just outside of Nevatim Air Base, where US arms shipments to the IOF are received.
The strikes were so large they were easily visible from Gaza and the West Bank.
According to Reuters Iran moments ago signaled that their strikes are complete and it's safe for Israeli civilians to leave shelters.
The Israelis say 200 ballistic missiles entered their air space that Iron Dome defended their territory. They say they will retaliate.
The Iranians say they fired a dozen missiles and that this was a legitimate response to the recent aggressions in Lebanon. The urge the Israelis not to retaliate or next time there will be more missiles.
Around the same time as the Iranian missiles strikes on Tel Aviv two attackers armed with assault rifles opened fire on civilians in a busy neighborhood.
Five are confirmed dead but videos circulating online show dozens of people injured.
No clear indication yet if this was linked to this missile strikes or even aligned with the resistance axis.

Fires rage near Mossad HQ. Iran claims they have thousands more missiles in reserve. There are claims that the strikes on IOF airbases destroyed 20 IOF F-35 fighters, time might tell. It appears strikes primarily targeted key highways, two airbases and mossad hq.
Meanwhile Jordan claims they attempted to shoot down missiles that flew over their air space(which seems to have done fuck all).
Unknown what happened to that oil platform.
Iranian news reports the strikes on Israel tonight were carried out using an hypersonic ballistic missiles the Fattah-1
Booster segments which appear to be from the Fattah-1 missile system have been found throughout the West Bank and parts of Jordan. Lots of selfies and celebrations with the boosters on socials.
There are reports that a small number of Iranian missiles struck IOF targets in Gaza along the Netzarim Corridor in a direct blow against the forces enacting genocide.

Meanwhile CNN and many other Western news sources were clutching pearls debating how dangerous these strikes were for civilians. Still now reports are that one or two Palestinians died due to falling debris(possibly from interceptors).
Of course during the same time period today the IOF destroyed another 5 civilian apartment high rises in Beirut with unknown but high casualties.

By all accounts Israel suffered a significant set back in their ground invasion of Lebanon. Hezbollah claims they unleashed a significant ambush on Israeli commandos who crossed the border resulting in 20-35 severely injured IOF troops, many needing immediate medivac, with one already confirmed dead by Israeli sources.
Lebanese media reports that the ambush has so far halted the IOF advance.
Meanwhile Israeli media reports "something significant happened" but that there is a media blackout.
Not a lot of updates today, Israel remains unable to get a significant foot hold in southern Lebanon. Latest news indicates as many as 9 IOF troops were killed in ambushes yesterday. Hezbollah claims another 4-17 dead IOF troops today. The Lebanese army says Israeli troops attacked them on the border and they fought them off as well.
Meanwhile Israel continues airstrikes throughout civilian neighborhoods in Beirut and stuck the airport and key road routes connecting to Iran.
Israel still has a pretty big media blackout on reporting damage from the Iran strike, however new satellite images show damage to runways and a hanger at the Israeli Nevatim Airbase.
The IOF remains unable to make meaningful military progress on the ground at the Lebanese border. Today Hezbollah posted footage of some of their operations to prevent the IOF from entering southern Lebanon.
They show IOF soldiers walking into an ambush and IOF helicopters being fired upon with surface to air missiles.
Images are circulating online of the aftermath of a Hezbollah drone assault on the IDF dinning hall for the Golani Brigade located south of Haifa.
Allegedly Herzi Halevi, IDF Chief of Staff was the target of this strike. Over 40 IDF soldiers are rumoured to be injured.
The strike was possibly carried out by a drone which first fired a missile on the compound before crashing and exploding itself into the dinning hall.
For the past few days and again today Hezbollah had been publishing warnings for Israeli citizens to stay away from military outposts. I had initially thought it was maybe a bit tongue in cheek response to the types of leaflets the IDF drops before attacks.
As usual there's a media blackout in Israel. But also, as usual the Israeli soldiers themselves were filming and uploading the entire aftermath directly to social media.
To be clear, weeks ago Hezbollah posted their planned response to the recent massive numbers of assassinations carried out by Israel in Lebanon.
Currently public reports that Herzi Halevi IDF Chief of Staff was at this Haifi IDF base yesterday celebrating Yom Kippur with the troops. It's unclear if he was present today and Israeli media hasn't confirmed yet.

As upsetting as I found the news of the strikes earlier, I am most upset at #Netanyahu for bringing us to this point. He's putting his own people in immense danger simply because he has some sort of grand vision of going to war with everyone in the Middle East, and doesn't care how many people die, even if this includes his own Israeli people.
What's going on in #Gaza, including the deaths of the hostages, is just a microcosm of what this megalomaniac wants to do with the rest of the region.
But yes, there is an absolute insanity of the press reporting on then striking a legitimate military target, a military building filled with military members, as being "concerning" in that there are civilians nearby who might get hit if a rocket misses... Like, selecting civilian targets and leveling them on purpose is literally the thing that Netanyahu has been charged with war crimes over.

@nullagent It is legal in war to fire on a military target within a city. It is firing on the city as a whole that is forbidden under international law. Putting a torture base in a freestanding building in Tel Aviv does not put it off limits to being hit. Yes there is risk in hitting it, but no surrouding civilians are not the targets. Israel claims the right to bomb apartment buildings with supposed bunkers underneath, they have no business whining now if a strike aimed at a freestanding military target in Tel Aviv does damage to surrounding buildings. Mossad HQ is a torture center, it HAS to go.
