everton137@mray @w7voa if there was an open license(1), I'm sure there would be several volunteers willing to add them to Wikimedia Commons(2), where the open media files used on Wikipedia, and in several other places, are stored.
And this could help in the arduous work of categorizing these audios. At the moment a list of 33 k follows without categories is not that usable.

As a kid I bought the vinyl LP of BBC Sound Effects "Death and Horror". It was a scream. Literally. This must be an opportunity to hear them cutting up cabbages in various ways again.
