@brunoph haha exactly the right solution! we installed a camera in the garage solely so I could abate my nerves (because the door is never actually open, I just have to check)

Michael Wyman@harlan we installed a camera in the garage so I can check whether I've forgotten it open (solely for my my nerves because I've never actually forgotten to close it). I love our HomeKit front door lock though for the peace of mind!

Daniel Spiewak@ana @grork Meross has a surprisingly well-built product which you can plug into pretty much any garage door opener and which gives you the ability to control (and observe) your door in HomeKit. Can *absolutely* recommend for exactly this reason (also it's great when you need to open/close your garage door on your bike).
