Anybody know anything about heat pumps? We have a guy coming in a couple of hours to do an evaluation of our heating/AC to estimate changing over to a heat pump system. Massachusetts has a ton of incentive programs to get people to convert, and it seems like a good idea, but I don't really know mich about it.

@briank We went with NETR last year and had a positive experience with them, changing from gas furnace to all electric heat pump for heat/cool.

It's a couple years old now, but someone shared with us this sheet comparing quotes from a variety of vendors.

@knizer Thanks for sharing that. Good info. We did have a MassSaves energy audit, which is what prompted us to call about the heat pump.
