Puberty blocker ban extended to Northern Ireland

A temporary ban on the sale or supply of puberty blockers has been extended to cover Northern Ireland.

@Susan_Larson_TN I guess a lot of it's residents will "flee" to the republic (aka. consider moving over)...

@kkarhan @Susan_Larson_TN Best of luck finding treatment over here. There's no legal treatment for transgender youth implemented and quite frankly it's dangerous to contact the National Gender Service even as adult.

(The country as signed WPATH but the actual executive organ is refusing to use it)

@Ozmopolitan @Susan_Larson_TN Yeah, I just know that a lot of people use the CTA provisions to get an Irish passport & ID and then basically move elsewhere in the EU thanks to freedom of residency without the need to apply for residency permit in the first place...

  • Can't and won't namedrop cases I know, but there are multiple ones...
@kkarhan @Susan_Larson_TN This has so many reason. Tbh trans healthcare in Ireland depends if you're lucky with your GP or how much money you can give to a solicitor

@Ozmopolitan @Susan_Larson_TN Yeah, that is a big problem...

Shit's being paywalled af...
