My type of optimism;
@kupaye The world has ended many times, depending on whose perspective.
@contextfree @kupaye The human species has been bottlenecked a couple of times in its long history. About 930,000 years ago, the ancestors of humanity endured a 117,000-year-long population bottleneck, according to a 2023 genetic study. More recently (i.e. about 74,000 years ago), the world population may have been reduced to just a few thousand people by the Toba eruption.
@contextfree @kupaye And that’s all long, long before recorded history, before civilisation, before even anatomically modern humans.
@kupaye :.....Without the writing on the walls, I hope.
It’s an irony. Of course.😉 😉

@kupaye How many WW3s have we had this point? I've lost count.
@kupaye The joice of the wall is perfect for this kind of statement. It really underlines the summery fresh delivery.
@kupaye "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls" sound of silence
@kupaye Don't worry, the world won't end in your *lifetime* 😬
@kupaye
It happens that the world has no end, what ends are people!
@kupaye Shoot, that's where I keep my stuff.
@kupaye even if the world ends, life will go on (even without life let alone people)
