Found a gem called Holesail. P2P tunnel for a file server or port. Works on macos, iPhone, Android, Windows, and Linux. The Android app I tested needs some work, but this is just the beginning. I read that in a month or so a new release should be available. Works flawlessly on #garudalinux #arch. Sorry I have no mac hardware, and I gave up windows years ago.

Holesail

Create P2P tunnels instantly that bypass any network, firewall, NAT restrictions and share your local servers with the world securely. No Dynamic DNS required.

@jeremy I'll need to look into it more to see if I trust it but holy smoke, that looks extremely handy.

Please let me know what you find. There is a GitHub repo with the JavaScript files. I took a quick look and it looks legit to me, but I am far from an expert.

What is an SSH Tunnel & SSH Tunneling?

SSH tunneling is a method of transporting arbitrary networking data over an encrypted SSH connection.

@RadioAzureus Not exactly. To create a ssh tunnel you need to have an open/forwarded port in order to connect over ssh. With holesail no open ports are necessary.
