Those “Bank error in your favor” Monopoly cards really set up unrealistic expectations of adult life.
Chilean man accidentally paid 330 times his salary disappears without a trace

Most working people think they deserve a raise, but few of us expect to see our paycheck increase by three figures overnight.And yet, that’s precisely what happened to one man in Chile who checked his bank balance only to discover that his employer had accidentally paid him a hell of a lot more than...

@Chrishallbeck My bank had a promotion where they would give you $5 every time something didn’t go right, like the atm machine not working. I got $30 off them before they quietly killed the promotion 😄

@MichaelPorter @Chrishallbeck

I got $200 from an ATM and it failed to deduct it from my balance!

But I'm sure they "fixed" the error while doing nightly reconciliation. So, in effect, they took the $200 back. (IE: They did charge my account at end-of-day close.)

Building houses? Do you have planning permission for that, sir? Hotel? There's a whole heap of H&S to do first.

Picking up money every so often just for moving around the streets? Not in an old boot, mate. Sports car, with lots of followers and a sponsor, maybe.

No overdraft, where the bank can charge fees, or a credit card, or six credit cards, even?

@Chrishallbeck I had a genuine bank error recently where $20 showed up in my account. Sadly it disappeared again a couple of days later.
@Chrishallbeck usually when a bank error happens I am not the one benefiting from it

@Chrishallbeck

The closest I’ve ever gotten to that is a landlord miscalculating how much the deposit was and gave me like $600 more than I originally deposited once I left
