Hello again 🖐️ 😄

I just created a demo scene to evaluate @godotengine 's real-time graphics against Unreal Engine

Do you think Godot can match the high visual quality many claim Unreal has? Thoughts?

@demonkingswarn @godotengine I mean it looks good at a first glance, it's definitely looking good, but if I were to nitpick, by zooming in on the video, some stuff clearly need more work. The lightning seems 'flat', it doesn't have any radiosity, there's no bloom, there is some eye adaptation when going in/out of the tunnel, there's no ray tracing, the cobblestone floor doesn't seem to have PBR, normal maps, and therefore there's no 'depth' to it, the reflections are clearly not that good (they seem like cubemaps), and the anti-aliasing seems to be missing, or at least, that's how it looks on my phone when viewing the video, because there are many flickering edges on things such as the building façades.

Godot is on the right path though, I think in a few years it could be a competitor to modern UE5.

@demonkingswarn @godotengine Looking at this though, and if it's 'static' lightning, I wonder how well it would run on a phone? UE5 at least seems to require some heavy optimization, both under the hood and on the developer side to make it even run smoothly on a mid-spec phone.
