That is why American gun laws started in California, Reagan and the police couldn't stand the idea of armed minorities protecting their communities from police abuse. @mstrmustache this is just not true. No one in my country is better armed than the police, and police oppression is a rare phenomenon.
What you need is a better educated police force, better police salaries, and stronger methods for rooting out the bad apples in the police force.
Oh yeah, I am sure that coming from an 85% homogenous place with absolutely no issues with abuse towards migrant populations absolutely qualifies you to speak of socio-economic forces in the US.
