If you trust the police to be better armed than you then you welcome more oppression by police. The Panthers understood this. That is why American gun laws started in California, Reagan and the police couldn't stand the idea of armed minorities protecting their communities from police abuse. We KNOW that authoritarians want us non-white, non-Christian non-straight non-hetero folks to be good little slaves. Unfortunately (for yall) we have LEARNED from the past and what happens to us when they tell us to trust the government to "save us".
