* Simulation fans generally
* Mite enthusiasts
People who can (probably) NOT be turned into Ant People:
* Termite fans (there is a hostility)
* Rose breeders
* Outdoor electronics gadget makers
People who like termites think that ants get too much attention for superficial reasons and to some extent this is true. They are often FORMER ant people who have gone ... deeper. There are some people on the ant fourm who have pet termites and they are always annoyed that everyone who keeps ants won't at least just TRY a termite colony.
The fact that there are many ants specialized in eating only termites by raiding their nests and being bullies doesn't help I think.

I read that when they get shocked they react as if stung by enemy ants, and they send an alarm call "nest is being invaded by the enemy!" so ants come running to help, this is the worst kind of alarm. But then they get shocked too and release more pheromone ... basically it makes the ants think they are at war with another colony, and they throw everything they have at it. (up to a point)
