Thousands and thousands of maggots, feeding in glee
What kind of fat squirmy creatures are these?
Burrowed deep in my food scrap and leaves?
I hope you're the good ones adding nutrition for plants
And not a plague of houseflies following the ants

@ai6yr Friend had a big goldfish pond in his yard. Every day he emptied the bug zapper (a 40” killing marvel) into it. Those Goldies were big and fat!
