After 3 weeks off following the ultra, was starting to get withdrawal symptoms! Hopped down to #Felixstowe which is a totally flat course (as the hamstrings aren't quite up to even the tiniest hill yet!) for my first #ParkRun in forever!

Was exceptionally hot, jeffed 2:1 from the first mile after my heart rate started hitting 180 and my watch started sounding the sirens! 🚨🚨🚨

43:34 according to the watch, PB is around 37 so not all that bad for me!

@rcheesley what does "jeffed 2:1" mean, if you don't mind my asking?

@hattom it's a technique made popular by Jeff Galloway, called Jeffing, where you plan to use run/walk/run intervals at specific timings.

In my case I was using 2 minutes run, 1 minute fast walk. For longer runs I tend to use 10:2.

I find it helps me avoid too much fatigue setting in by having a short but regular reset of the body!

@hattom yeah it's a good system, I have my watch set up to bleep the intervals just in case I need them!
