Cleats on the shoes, hopefully in the right place back/forth - I attempted the masking tape and feeling for your metatarsals approach but it could be wrong. Need to work out any twist now. π€
I think thereβs enough βfloatβ in these not to worry too much about the angle/twist. They come out of the cleat fairly easily too (I started off loose, and have tightened a little)
(It's just a thin sheet of stainless steel that fits behind the cleat.)
I'm using them to prevent ATAC pedals (which have a smaller area in contact with the sole) digging a hole in my shoes in a way that SPD pedals never did.
@vandenberglegs Just check your sizing as they come up large - Iβm normally an 8.5/9 in UK sizes which would be a 43/44 but the 42 is just fine. In fact when I measured my foot it reckoned I was a 41!
