Friends. I’m already being attacked in public for having a mask on. Mask bans, despite so-called exemptions, will make this worse.
All of us love someone with cancer whose immune system needs extra protection. One way masking is already not enough.
Instead of respecting the science, we are being mistreated, pushed, physically attacked, and challenged.
All in service of helping police prevent protesters from benefiting from the identity-protecting aspects of masking.
Which is also unconstitutional, as we all have the right not to aid the state in persecuting us.

@Scienceisnotopinions True. I’m more worried about the period up until they are sued, and the abuse I’m already encountering being escalated as vigilantes like the one who killed a Black man on the NY subway escalating.
My mask as mild annoyance becomes a reason for the open carry Population to be justified in shooting me.
Since there’s already a ban in Ohio and one being proposed in New York, I am not the type of person who will sit and do nothing.
I do live in Texas after all.

absinthe@Tinu You're absolutely right! When someone is preparing to have an organ transplant, I believe they have to lower their immune system so the new organ isn't rejected.
As someone who has HAD cancer, I know my immune system isn't great, and I don't want to be as sick again as I was during treatment.
I use driveup services as much as I can, because dealing with the anti-mask misanthropes are just not worth it!
