It's amazing to see the French and Germans laugh at the Brits and our idiot Brexit and then a few years later make all the same mistakes with their Far Right that we Brits made, not having learned a single fucking thing.

#Brexit #EU #France #Germany

The Five Stages of Grief are;

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
and finally Acceptance.

You can either take our British lived experience as a warning or wallow in the first stage.

Look at us, look at the state of us, ignore your Far Right at your peril.

@Lazarou I did not laugh at all, I was shocked. Don’t generalize please. From my perspective, nazi parties in general are not at all a good idea, because of their evil ideas.
@Lazarou My compatriots predominantly voted for the #CDU - who are currently led by a #FriedrichMerz, a guy looking and acting suspiciously similar to #MontgomeryBurns from the #Simpsons. The fascist #AfD party bankrolled by #Russia "only" came second - bad enough, but please don't paint it more black than it already is.
@Lazarou
Its the same distraction technique that was used in the UK. Blame minorities for the countries ills not the corrupt self serving politicians

@EA7KRC And Germans and French telling me "it's not that bad, it's fine, we can handle it" and it just reminds me of the arrogance of Remain thinking things were normal and that playing by the rules would save us.

"If we point out how shit Brexit is, they'll understand"

But what if they don't, what if they don't care what happens to them, what if they're driven by spite and not empathy or reason?

France and Germany making the same mistake as we did, as so many other nations are doing.

@Lazarou
Its a typical knee jerk reaction that those that dont engage in politics make. I cannot understand how people can show so much apathy to a decision that rules their lives. Then spend months complaining its not what they wanted...
@Lazarou @EA7KRC Brexit IS SHIT.
That is the reason I am involved and engaged doing everything that it will not happen for Germany.
*I am not Germany* - but I am an educated citizen of the country with a kind of good knowledge what went good and what went disastrous for the country in the latest history. And Nazis are definitely the latter case, as we all know. Populists like Johnson and brainless media memes like Farrage were a disaster for GB.
@Lazarou Can you elaborate what mistakes you mean? To be completely honest: Brexit took me by complete surprise. Many of us outside of the UK didn't even know that there was a referendum until it was already over. I do not know much about the events leading to Brexit. Thanks!

@nimi This should give you an idea of what was going on and where David Cameron went wrong. In a polite, academic way.

Arrogance, insularity and underestimating the opposition.
