An imperfect administration led by an old guy doing the best they can and actually making progress in the face of overwhelming cheating and pure hate,

or

A convicted felon backed by evil money & power mongers who’s a wannabe fascist dictator who has no compunction about selling America to the highest bidder.

This is hard for you… why?

@adhdeanasl I have a better option:
@adhdeanasl I've got to remember how snide comments tend to blow up on social media. 🙄
@adhdeanasl Dude, I'm sorry I tracked all this negativity in here. It was not my intent.
@adhdeanasl Also, the convicted #felon is an old guy too.
@adhdeanasl Still damning with faint praise. Biden's a rock-star. #BidenHarris2024

@adhdeanasl

The stunning thing for me is that there are folk on both sides who see their guy in the above description the exact same way.

@adhdeanasl honestly? Because the unwaivering support of Israel's genocide. I know trump is worse in this regard, but it doesn't feel good to vote for a guy who is at best standing on the sidelines and at worst supportive of what they're doing.

@Flit @adhdeanasl

Taking the trash out doesn't feel good.
Going to the dentist doesn't feel good.
Voting effectively doesn't always feel good.

@adhdeanasl "...led by an old guy...literally handing bombs to a genocidal regime." The question isn't should we support this dude that is currently supporting a genocide or that felon that will also support a genocide. It's why the hell are these the only options? Vote blue no matter who gets these fucked up situations and some people are tired of the insanity.
@adhdeanasl
And recall that last "perfect" administration. I can't recall one. But I can recall several that did more good than less good.
@adhdeanasl
Because of two mistakes:
- they put their presumed ethical purity ahead of the elections output and its consequences on other people's lives
- they deceive themselves into thinking that those same consequences won't affect their own lives as well
@adhdeanasl

The target audience has the IQ of a reheated burger?

@adhdeanasl It's hard for us because a lot of folks who've won elections are standing by the convicted felon and are lying for him and many in our press are knowingly amplifying those lies.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives is actively campaigning for Trump and lying about Biden. At least two Supreme Court justices are privately doing the same.

@adhdeanasl

Well, #2 may be backed by dozens of billionaires, but none of them is Soros. Isn't that reason enough?

(Seriously, why do right-wingers consider Soros the only billionaire who is evil?)

@JorgeStolfi @adhdeanasl Because he’s the only one they know is Jewish.

That is genuinely the reason.

@adhdeanasl because your description of an imperfect administration making progress doesn’t match with the reality so many of us live every day, as we see Biden engaging legally dubious acts, spreading falsehoods, and even with all of that, largely failing to make substantial benefit for so many.

If he’s going to act corrupt, one would at least hope he’d get some success from that. But no, he just seems both corrupt and incompetent, and I’m not willing to downplay that as doing his best.

We have two crooks headlining this election. Might as well be honest about it.

@volkris But whom will you vote for? The “legally dubious” administration or the outright felonious and corrupt rapist who’s owned by foreign interests? It comes down to votes. And if you abstain or vote third party, you’re voting for the felon.
@adhdeanasl @volkris this right here is bullshit. Every one of you who try to claim you have to vote for your piece of shit or else your voting for the other piece of shit - I'm just tired of seeing this stupid argument. If that's all you have then obviously the democratic party has outlived its usefulness. Put forth a better candidate or shut up #votebluenomatterwho can suck it.
@captainrob This right here is parading your failure to apprehend the the issue because your anger shuts down your mentation. Stay mad, kid. @volkris

@adhdeanasl gives billions of dollars in aid and weapons to an ethno apartheid state committing genocide “he’s doing his best”

GTFOOH man.

@adhdeanasl

Very well framed: And Biden is like a firefighter trying to put out the fire in your garage while Trump is an arsonist outside your garage fanning the flames trying to get your house to catch fire. The moral contrast is that stark.

@adhdeanasl I'm all for voting for Biden (given how abhorrent Trump is), but this summary really downplays Biden being complacent with the ongoing genocide in Gaza
@BiggestBulb But the ongoing genocide in Gaza is what it is. US doctrine on Israel hasn’t changed in generations. It sucks, but choosing a president on that and not what’s happening here? There’s always awful things out there, and the US has always been horrible internationally.
@adhdeanasl @BiggestBulb I agree with you that America’s track record in Middle East conflicts is terrible, and that realpolitiking involves keeping Israel as an ally, but there’s more that Biden could be doing. Many leftys think that he needs to move faster because they believe withholding weaponry will end the war immediately, which doesn’t match up with Netanyahu’s and his backers’ stance, and I get it if Biden’s international stance post-Trump aims for slower change.
@adhdeanasl OH DAMN. A LOTTA BIIIIIIIG FEELINGS IN THIS COMMENTS SECTION. BUT ONLY ONE CANDIDATE WHO WILL BUILD THE GIGANTIC LASER AND VAPORIZE GLIESE-581C. #LRRR2024
@adhdeanasl Sooo true, especially the part about selling the country to the highest bidder!!
@adhdeanasl it's not hard to see that neither is acceptable

@adhdeanasl

Biden needs to stop supporting genocide, and start supporting #UNRWA and the #ICC
