I knew they were still there but could not log into my account a few years ago. No way to retrieve it since the log-in email address no longer exists 🙁 So, no way to reset it.
I remember I also used software to combine different platforms such as ICQ. I can't think of the name now.

Yeah, I think I remember my number, but certainly don't remember my password, and I think my email was an AOL one lol
I used Trillian towards the end, I remember, to mix that and MSN/AIM/etc

@stuartl This is a really good point - and I don't know that there is! There really SHOULD be. I'd actually be interested in something like that.

DunderbrallanYeah, just looking at it now. Unfortunately no mention of screen sharing or huddles (voice chat)… and that's something I use Slack for on a daily basis.
There's also limited support for 2FA authentication… Slack likes to send me codes in the email as its "2FA".
Still, it might serve some use cases better than the Electron-based mess they currently ship.

But, commercial backed so it could die if/when they lose interest. However that describes 95% of broad scale software, so -shrug-

@TheColourOfFear it's the 'new' version that was recently made an option, tried it and hated it - but now they're forcing everyone to use the new version in July. 🙄

lachlan slowly taming rust@jake4480 Teams is kinda sucky, and has some weird bugs, but FWIW - the new version has been significantly lighter on RAM and CPU on my work laptop. Not at much as if it was an actual native application, but there's some improvement at least.
@lachlan that's what I was wondering/figuring. I still hate it but maybe it won't be so memory hungry 😂

@Jonou ugh. Yep. The change over is coming - it's an option now to use the new version on top left. I tried it, hated it. But in July, we all use it 🙄
