My brain still works in the same speed as my old tabletop computer. I got so used to the lagging, that I still associate opening PC up with that lag, which creates a Wall Of Awful to opening it up to do things.

So everytime I do manage to open the new one, I am surprised how fast it is no matter what I am doing.

Hopefully I'll learn to associate PC with SPEEEED and erase that wall of awful soon. :P

@hiisikoloart I have the same problem with my new work computer - (for example) when I used to run unit tests they took 5 minutes every run just to spin up the suite, even if I was only doing one test. Now they finish in 15 seconds and if I refill my coffee during the run it will have been sitting there waiting for four minutes when I get back...

@noelle
I often catch myself thinking that it'll take "too long" to do things, so I end up not doing them just because it used to take so long for my PC to "wake up".

Now I could easily turn it on and the longest thing is me sitting my ass down and turbing my monitor back on. Seconds! And everything works instantly! So I could, in fact, sit and write. But all I do is stare at it with memory of a goldfish and just give up...

ADHD is weird existance sometimes...
