Pub food Sunday - but at home. More deep frying, but only the fish: the wedges were done in the oven on air fryer setting by my husband.

I used basically the same beer batter as yesterday for the fish, only it seems it wasn’t quite as thin and did more of what it was supposed to do, blister up a little.

Served with garden peas, lemon wedges, ketchup and mayonnaise. 😋

Roasted potato wedges

Copy Me That
@sylkeweb Looks delicious! I have not quite perfected my own wedges - I always seem to do them five minutes too long, I don't know how I manage that. But I've begun making my own 'oven chips' - rather than deep frying chips, I lightly oil them and do in the oven. Very nice, and much less mess to clean up afterwards!
Hm, that’s odd. What you describe for the chips is basically what we do with the wedges. So just try your chips method for wedges?
And thank you, of course! ☺️
@sylkeweb I think it is because I always think "OK wedges are thicker, let's do 40 minutes", but in reality they are only thicker on one side 🤦‍♂️ Nest time I will indeed try the short time 😄
