Thank goodness for those celebrities who never turn to the Dark Side.

Trump often doubles-down and loses.

Why the Croupier doesn't scoop the chips off of the green felt I'll never know.

Great post!
But Luke Skywalker needs to shun the Dark Side and leave Twitter/X which is now run by a real life Palpatine.
If anybody knows Mark, extend a cordial invitation to him to start an account here. 🙂🚀

#MarkHamill did have an official (and active) "HamillHimself" account here several months ago, where he tooted directly (not a retweet account). It did well (by Mastodon standards, as it had several thousand followers early on) and lasted for several weeks before he shut it down and went back to Twitter.

#JasonMamoa had a similar experience.

I think they were both expecting Twitter-level numbers for followers in the hundreds of thousands overnight. They probably assumed that they only had to announce their presence to be instantly followed by most everyone and not need to follow anyone back, just like on Xitter.

But without the algorithm & bots here, and because they didn't follow back almost anyone, their accounts grew very slowly.

That's only my theory, though. I can't say for certain. But I do think that's a possible reason why many #celebrities aren't on here-- they want instant, easy, HUGE social media publicity, but #Mastodon doesn't work that way.
