Was teaching a library instruction session, and some mentions of #SocialMedia came up. Couple of students mentioned they deleted their Twitter accounts.
It just warmed my heart.
Rocket Girl Erin π©πΌβπππunderstand that the continued use of X/twitter in an endorsement of this behavior, paid use is funding this content. If you are a brand, celebrity, influencer, is it really worth being on Elon Musk's personal social media site for CSAM creators?

Ethically, I don't feel there's much difference between having an account on Truth Social and having an account on X at this point.
If you wouldn't create an account on Truth Social, perhaps it's time to finally delete your account on X.

The only free one I found needs someone at least vaguely savvy to open the right box to paste some code into and locate files to use for the deletion.
Unfortunately X also takes ages to send you your data, if your request even works.

Like serious, if you or you're business is on Twitter/X and paying for a blue or gold check, you look like a card carrying member of NAMBLa or your company looks like a corporate banner sponsor of it. Like its such a bad look & red flag for brands. GTFO out of there
