I know there is a lot going on, but CIA agents were killed, captured, or compromised because Trump sold their names to our enemies.

Just thought I should remind everyone of that.

@Strandjunker
Do you know offhand of a good primer link on this for maybe-not-quite-as-left-as-me people whose radar this never crossed? That’s a bookmark I’d like to have handy, and right now it’s mostly just memories of tweets for me.
@Strandjunker @inthehands I will look for the reporting and links, but your googling might be better than mine. As I remember, it was more of a case of correlation, albeit mighty suspicious. The reporting said that Trump requested, and was provided, info about HUMINT assets in Russia. Sometime later, HUMINT networks in Russia were rolled up and at least a few of those snared were executed.
US removed covert source in Russia due to safety concerns under Trump – report

Decision to carry out extraction made shortly after 2017 meeting in which Trump discussed sensitive intelligence with Russians, CNN reports

The Guardian

@meltedcheese @inthehands @Strandjunker

I'm still in awe of our collective tolerance of this mob boss.

@inthehands @VulcanTourist @Strandjunker Not me. I’m fully intolerant of him and his lackeys.

@meltedcheese @inthehands @Strandjunker

I could anticipate that, but are we the outliers again?

@meltedcheese @inthehands @Strandjunker

We've lost our collective will or ability to recognize the distinction between dissidence and malevolence and be tolerant of only the former and very very intolerant of the latter. Damned Paradox of Tolerance!

@meltedcheese @inthehands @Strandjunker As a side note, losing a source close to the RU government like this also makes US intelligence on Russia poorer, making policy and decision making poorer and increasing the risk of miscalculations. That also has a price, which may be human lives. John Sipher alludes to that in the article.

The CIA also set up a flawed double encryption that was detected. Though, that was before trump.

At least 18 C.I.A. sources were killed or imprisoned in China between 2010 and 2012, one of the worst intelligence breaches in decades. Investigators still disagree about how it happened.

@Npars01 @Strandjunker There's a difference between compatriots & con-patriots for a reason.
@Strandjunker I hate to be a pedant, but is there publicly available evidence of that? Sure, it's a possibility, but I don't recall anything more definitive than that, and for obvious reasons, I don't expect I will live long enough to see it.

US House blocks controversial spy bill after Trump’s opposition

The ex-US president has claimed without evidence that the law was used to spy on his campaign.

South China Morning Post
@Npars01 @Strandjunker I'm well aware of all the reporting on ties between the GOP and Russia, and for that matter, Turkey, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, etc. What I am asking for is public specific evidence for the claim that Trump sold CIA agents' names to our enemies. There are obvious reasons why that wouldn't exist, so the claim is speculative.

@AlgoCompSynth @Strandjunker

"If your car is covered in drops of water, the house's eaves have falling water, the ground is damp, the humidity is high, the skies are dark with rain clouds, & all the streets & homes nearby look wet, it can be reasonably asserted that it rained recently."

Valid inferences can be drawn from indirect evidence. Evidence doesn't need to be testimonial. An admission of guilt isn't necessary.

Many a criminal has gone to jail based on circumstantial evidence.

@Strandjunker Trump should be in prison for the rest of his life that alone as it put the entire country at risk.

@Strandjunker As if the CIA were up to anything good. #AmericanImperialism

"Our enemies"? Lol.

@Strandjunker That is a very strong and specific accusation. Do you have a link?
