What the eclipse looked like from space
@joemurph Stunning! I am always thinking about solar eclipses in terms of paths of totality and such, not what the moon's shadow actually looks like. Impressive!

@joemurph @ttpphd Which is exactly why I didn’t try to watch it from here: the other half of the earth eclipsed the sun* before the moon had a chance

*This happens every day, and no one makes a big deal of it! 😉

@transponderings @joemurph @ttpphd “hey did you hear there’s gonna be a terran eclipse tonight?”
@Unixbigot @transponderings @joemurph @ttpphd in some places total earth eclipses last for months!
@joemurph I wonder about this from the perspective of the Moon. I would have a video from there to share but my ride didn't show.

@joemurph And how it looked like from earth, nearby Uvalde, Texas.

@joemurph looks like a shart stain across the northeast
@joemurph A lunar eclipse seen from the moon must be quite impressive. And pretty long ;)
@joemurph but it’s not a total eclipse of the heart or ? 😂
@joemurph The big fish swallowing North America is a bit disturbing
