Go into your brain and find the setting for "friendly-fire" and make sure it is toggled "OFF". Turning off friendly-fire means not directing your anger and rage at other TIG people.

The argument against making disrespectful egg jokes isn’t “but you might make someone realise they’re trans when they don’t want to!” It’s a lot of other things. For example, I’ve talked to trans men who were forced to out themselves because people around them wouldn’t stop joking that they were obviously closeted trans women, which was very dysphoric. I’ve talked to gender nonconforming and nonbinary people who aren’t believed about their genders by binary trans people.

Anger and indignation "should" be rare and precious resources that we tap into only as much as it fuels the action-reflection-reconnection (to inner fire) cycle. In 2025 that means being really aware of where and when those emotions are called forth and being selective and careful about habits.

Then we have “the separation of church and state.” The realization that certain religious people would always try to take over the government is not new! The founding fathers had seen the downsides of theocracy. It is clear, however, that the legal separation of church and state is now being systematically eroded—as a direct result of the lack of a cultural wall between church and state. There is not today and has never been in my lifetime a political party that truly stands for the rejection of religion as an ingredient in the public policy process. That has to change.
