I had to turn RNZ off this morning when Erica Stanford was claiming it unbalanced to teach #NewZealand history from a tangata whenua perspective when there's now so many different cultures living in Aotearoa.
It would be helpful for everyone, Māori, Pākehā and Tauiwi, to learn our history so they understand why they are either Tangata Whenua or Tangata Tiriti and what that means.

Grrrrr.... Just saw the news re slimeon poo announcing councils having to either run local referendum on existing Māori wards or scrap the wards.
@jeremy_pm @paw yeah let's have a referendum when it comes to *checks notes* decisions about specifically and only issues related to Maori wards, but not any other demographic. In fact, let's disestablish any of these wards that were legally created without a referendum just so the racists can get their word in.
But not any other type of ward.
Fucking blatant.
