... our forces unintentionally hitting innocent people ...

It's not possible to "unintentionally" hit people so precisely.

The "hitting" was intentional. Everything else Israel says about this attack has to be assumed to be a lie.

(The last paragraph of that article, by the way, is disgracefully egregious)

@aral Uh, anyone else notice that they seem to be doing their own version of Trump gallop with these things...?

1. It didn't happen
2. OK it did but it wasn't us
3. OK it was us but it was an accident
4. OK it wasn't an accident but everybody does it
5. OK they don't but our situation is special so we're allowed & justified

@jwcph @aral Oh, it's an old trick. Look at most CEOs and company on Climate change : exact same tactic over the years.

That even was a joke on an English comedy show, but I can't find the clip.

@jwcph @aral

I no longer care if Israel's slaughter of innocent people is on purpose or by accident. Even if it is all accidental, it all looks the same as if it were on purpose.

If it is on purpose, Netanyahu and his commanders are criminals, and must be stopped.

If it is by accident, Netanyahu and his commanders are incompetent, and must be stopped.

Either way, they must be stopped.

Writing to my federal officials today: no more aid to Israel.

@Professor_Stevens @jwcph @aral my representatives don't care, but I did write to the president and vice president.

@jwcph @aral

Always a good idea before contacting an elected official to see if they have taken a public position already on your issue. I was pleased to see this from one of my Maryland senators. Have written to him saying I agree and hope he will keep pushing the same way.

Van Hollen: US ‘should not be sending more bombs’ to Israel until government allows more humanitarian assistance

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) said the United States needs to employ its “leverage” to ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gaza. Appearing on ABC News’ “This Week,” Van Hollen, a Maryland lawmaker and member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that he “continues to rebuff the president of the…

The utterly disgusting thing is that now, most of the governments from both europe and the anglosphere are going to take this as an acceptable apology and will buy into
the 'it was a mistake' tale, even if they know perfectly well that it wasn't (I mean, Israel keeps committing mistakes like this pretty much weekly, it's not even subtle since a long long long time ago)

@aral

My sentiments exactly, when I heard him say that. Callous, sociopathic, guilty.
