Joel Ross: nublues

I am a sucker for the vibraphone and there are few better playing it than Ross. He just kind of *gets* it in a very fundamental way. That's very clearly the case here, a gorgeous, compelling jazz that's simultaneously traditional and progressive. One of the best jazz records released this winter (and there have been some doozies!). Enjoy!

Ella Ronen: The Girl With No Skin

I discovered this one because Sam Cohen plays on one of the tracks & I kind of love everything he does. Well, he produced the whole album and brings his good stuff to the whole record. Randal Fisher + Dexter Story: Wenge

John Craigie with TK & the Holy Know-Nothings: Pagan Church
