He betrayed our national security.
He compromised our elections.
He incited an armed insurrection to overthrow our democracy.
He will do so again.
He is a traitor.
Do not normalize Donald Trump.

@Strandjunker It is wild to me that he's still eligible to run for president.
But that I can live with. The thing that is utterly insane to me, is that there are over 40% (at least) of the US population that want to elect him.
I can understand a small minority approving of his rhetoric, be uninformed or just blindly partisan. But over 40%?
Trump, for all his bravado, has repeatedly and impressively proven that he is not only ill-suited for the job, but a horrid caricature of a human being.
I think we can split that up into at least three sets of people.
Cultists who want a dictatorship so that they can be elevated to a higher position in society by virtue of their cult membership.
Those who loathe Trump but see him as a path to things they want. This includes oligarchs and other business interests and some of the religious right intelligencia.
Finally lifelong Republicans who haven't yet figured out that it isn't actually the Republican party anymore.
Thank you for conceding they did not have firearms. Very odd choice for anyone truly trying to conduct an insurrection. Now if you’re truly a truth seeker then you also agree with me the public has a right to know if any of those instigating trouble at the capitol were in fact government agents, right? Let’s see all the facts.
I have said from day one anyone who committed acts of vandalism or trespass should be punished APPROPRIATELY for said crimes. Now, as tasteless as they were 20 years in federal prison is the Constitutional definition of cruel and unusual punishment. Can we agree on that?
Agreed, if you truly have committed violent insurrection. My understanding from reading coverage of several of the cases is that the multi-year federal prison sentences are not for insurrection, but "obstructing an official proceeding." The question of whether those charges are even valid is before SCOTUS right now. I agree with you that prison can be a very cruel punishment and the USA is the best in the world at locking people up sadly.
Now that's an interesting question my friend. It is not without historical precedent though, when false flags have been created by certain parties who needed to create a justification for a crackdown, or to create division in the populace. I'm not saying that we have all the facts, I am saying we deserve them.
Amen, on this we agree. These agencies long ago escaped from any Constitutional limits. I personally feel the assassination of JFK was the beginning of the end of our democratic republic.
Hmm, there's a lot of truth to that. It was a selfish time, the opposite of JFK's philosophy. It was liberals who spearheaded the free speech movement and now so many so called "liberals" want censorship. Everything has been turned on its head.
@Strandjunker And also don't look away & normalize Trump's ideological, financial oligarchical puppeteering foster parents like the Kochs, Mercers, Leonard Leo & his other gynecologists of reactionary idiotic overthrow of the constitutional order & America's democratic system of government!
