Merrick Garland has bungled the January 6 insurrection case against Trump so badly that Trump’s likely not to face trial before the election, which, if he wins, will render everything moot and put the very idea of American democracy at the gravest risk it's ever faced.

But he's got the green bubbles thing covered.

@gedeonm Well, I can't go that far, as it would've swapped 5-4 to 4-5, giving Democratic appointed justices a majority for the first time since (checks notes...) 19-fucking-72. But yeah, it sure does make me wonder what Obama saw in him, and just how much of an ally to the liberals on the court he would have been.
