OK not necessarily my kind of comedy icon but I found this killingly funny just from a human experience and how daft it can all be angle. Will go and listen to the full audio of this. #comedy #UK #RHLSTP

Joe Pasquale on his first jobs and how he started comedy - from RHLSTP 495

@emsquared I love Joe Pasquale. His son Joe Tracini is worth looking up, also very funny and genuinely lovely.
@LDJ I didn't know his son was in the biz. I'll have to check him out. I know he's old school but he does make me laugh and this story telling is an absolute torrent of wonderfulness.
@emsquared Big fan of #RHLSTP in general, it’s introduced me to a few comedy names I didn’t know, and reminded me why I love so many others (including #RichardHerring)
@LDJ Yes.I pretty much feel exactly the same. It's a shame the full videos aren't put up for free any more but get they need to fund all this somehow free of reliance on oo-yube algorithms and there is the audio at least. I love to hear comedians talk even if i don't know who the hell they are.

@emsquared

Insane and glorious. Thanks for sharing.

That sort of randomness no longer possible? Everything is processed and calculating now.

Public schoolboys dominate acting, comedy, art.

@lionelb Glad you enjoyed. I laughed all the way through.Sadly very true re that kind of route for anybody other than the well healed. The days of just writing letters to ITV or the BBC and his incredible dare/fluke/ openness of the telly producers. All gone.

@emsquared

I LOVE RHLSTP!!

I'm a big fan of Richard - and Stewart Lee too - yeah, I've transcended tribalism...

@juglugs Ha. I wish I was that well rounded. Got to admit that I struggle with Stewart Lee sometimes.

@emsquared

Yeah, the arrogance is too much sometimes, but I saw him live a few weeks ago in Plymouth and he was hilarious

@juglugs He can be funny. In between the pretention and high self regard. I'll admit that.
