@KirillOsenkov yeah, Boeing just needs more executives and managers with MBA in finance and less engineers... They will fix it, like they did in McDonnell Douglas.#kidding

@KirillOsenkov @functionalscript They are pitching to their investors that they are trying to acquire Spirit Aerosystems to take greater control over their supply chain and manufacturing process to improve quality and safety.

Boeing Statement on Discussions with Spirit AeroSystems

Boeing (NYSE: BA) today issued the following statement: We have been working closely with Spirit AeroSystems and its leadership to strengthen the quality of the commercial airplanes that we build together. We confirm that our collaboration has resulted in preliminary discussions about making Spirit AeroSystems a part of Boeing again. We believe that the reintegration of Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems' manufacturing operations would further strengthen aviation safety, improve quality and serve the interests of our customers, employees, and shareholders. Although there can be no assurance that we will be able to reach an agreement, we are committed to finding ways to continue to improve the safety and quality of the airplanes on which millions of people depend each and every day. @KirillOsenkov lmao... An incident so minor that literally nobody even noticed the difference in-flight is news now?

@KirillOsenkov I'm waiting for the report showing all the issues that have occurred over the last 5-10 years that never got reported

I can't believe these planes "all of the sudden" started falling apart

@codebyjeff @KirillOsenkov I’m guessing it’s like the train derailments we were hearing about as a huge issue last year when it turns out that it’s been typical that an average of 3 trains derail per day in the United States.
@brandonlivesin @codebyjeff @KirillOsenkov Right; or like when a mass shooting makes the news these days and we go "Wait, there's *another* mass shooting?" - and then people from the U.S. go "There's always a mass shooting - you're going to need to be more specific." "The one today?" "Early Morning, Morning, Noon, Afternoon, Night, or Midnight?".
@brandonlivesin @codebyjeff @KirillOsenkov That said, this feels more like "We decided to check our Boeing planes a bit more thoroughly, and it turns out we just noticed this panel is missing, and we don't know where it is."
@codebyjeff @KirillOsenkov no need to wait, they're all collected here https://avherald.com/

@KirillOsenkov And Oregon again? Are we sure they aren’t messing with us?
@jasonmalinowski I did a double take too
@KirillOsenkov @jasonmalinowski Has anybody asked Bob the teacher if he’s seen it?
@KirillOsenkov I don’t think this is what Johnny Cash meant when he sang One Piece at a Time

@KirillOsenkov

Shitty article. Here's a better one with a photo. For those too lazy to RTFA, it's a 25 year old plane. This one is a maintenance issue.

@artemesia thanks! agreed the one I linked to is crap
@KirillOsenkov That's chemtrails evolved. Dropping metal directly instead of through aerosols. /s
@KirillOsenkov how convenient the whistleblower is DEAD
@KirillOsenkov @lisamelton it’s a 26 year old aircraft. Look at the airline, not the manufacturer
