@molly0xfff oh, hahahhaah you want to eat?!

yeah theres a subscription for that now too. beyond the cost of actual food.

@Viss @molly0xfff Gotta say, I have been collecting free recipes off the Internet for 40 years (yes, I started with Usenet) and I still subscribe. It's a really, really good collection. Still cheaper than going out, and way better for you.

The kids to clean up after are kinda expensive tho.

@Sempf @molly0xfff we're up to nearly cookbook status. we do all our own breads, hummus, steaks, croissants, various baked goods, occasionally nigiri, pizza dough .. its pretty great. when folks come visiting we make sure they get FED :D
@Viss @molly0xfff How does tomorrow at 6:30 sound?
@molly0xfff "cheap", because looking for a youtube video isn't free enough
@molly0xfff looks like you won't be getting those noodles
@molly0xfff And they only recently doubled their subscription fee, too.
@molly0xfff $1.50/wk for recipes???

@molly0xfff Thanks for the inflation-fighting tips, NYT!

In response to this WaPo seems to have started to push their recipes more. And they are, at this time at least, still included in the basic subscription.

@molly0xfff
Spin options:
- Invest in those savings
- you got to give a little, you can get a lot
- for a fraction of what you would pay to save at Costco, you can get savings from any store!

“Inflation-Heavy (New York) Times”

@molly0xfff

FWIW, switching your user agent to googlebot bypasses the paywall.

Still sucks much of the internet is deciding to paywall content like this.

@molly0xfff I'd rather just buy a cookbook at least I'd only have to pay for it once.
@molly0xfff eat the New York Times to get all your dietary fiber needs!
@molly0xfff only 6 cents per recipe if you print them out in the first 4 weeks and cancel!

@molly0xfff

suddenly my idea for a few cooking vids seems to be a very good idea….

now i just need a tripod, an overhead camera holder, and an apron with strategic not-swearing on it….
