Why do companies/nations go through the trouble of building these expensive dams on rivers?
Just build a raingutter in the river during summer and in the autumn it'll clog up within a week.

I agree. NFL has made sort of blanket rulings about this stuff at times. But really there just should be a person who can decide on a case-by-case basis.

Five years later its success is complete. Congress does not exercise the power of the purse, nor the authority over war, nor oversight of the Executive, nor the power to impeach.
There are no checks and balances—we have a unicameral government with two withered stumps of the other branches.
All the stuff Trump (and Vance or Rubio) has said after last night's invastion really just underscores how critical it is (to the entire world) to have someone with a cool head and restraint running the United States.
And the US doesn't have that at all right now.
I do not support the US going to war with another country over false pretenses.
It's amazing that no one in Washington sees fit to even attempt to do anything about the root problem which caused this.
