My youngest saw an ad from Nintendo saying happy Mario Day on March 10th and asked me why that day is Mario Day. I explained that when you write “MAR 10” it looks like the word Mario. A few minutes later, he came over to wish me a “Happy Mars Day!” because he noticed today is “MAR 5”.
@Chrishallbeck That is the most clever, sweetest thing 😊😊😊

@Chrishallbeck Happy Mars *Month*! (Named after neither the chocolate bar nor the planet, but the Roman god of that name.)

@das_g @Chrishallbeck And Tuesday is also Mars Day. ("Dies Martis" in Latin. Which in English was changed to replace Mars with the Anglo Saxon god Tiw.)

It's a particularly Martian day today.

@Chrishallbeck The force is strong with this one.

@Chrishallbeck I now have a sudden urge to get a spreadsheet to auto-fill every day of the year to see what other word days there are. Maybe a combo. A column for JAN01, FEB01 format and another for JAN1ST, FEB1ST format. Just me? Shall I get my coat? :)
@Chrishallbeck that's crazy, you learn something new everyday!
@Chrishallbeck @mcc @TheMartianLife happy belated Mars day, Mars.
@Alexbbrown sounds like a new holiday to celebrate in the Buttfield-Addison household!
